Producer / Appointed person - How to register the types and natures of B&A to prepare the declaration?

The registration allows to prepare the declaration and to define the natures of B&A placed on the market.

The registration concerns producers with B&A not covered by a collective scheme. It is realized:

• by the producer
• by the appointed person

For producers who are members of a collective scheme: the collective scheme is in charge of registration for the types of B&A covered by its approval. The producer can view his account.

 

A - TYPE AND ORGANIZATION :

The Type and organization page under “My account / B&A Registration” allows producers to specify the type of B&A (portable, automotive and industrial) and the organisation implemented for each type.

Warning: The type of organisation chosen affects the type of declarations proposed. Only an organisational type of “individual scheme” allows one to make declarations for collection and treatment for the B&A Register. In order to select the “Collective scheme” organisation, your collective scheme must have recorded your membership in the database. It you use a Collective scheme for certain B&A and an individual scheme for other B&A, select the individual scheme box only. The Collective scheme box will be automatically selected when your Collective scheme communicates your membership

Click on “save” in order to save any modifications made before quitting the page. In case of any changes regarding the type of B&A placed on the market or type of collective scheme used by your organisation, this page must be updated to reflect all changes.

B - NATURE OF B&A TO BE DECLARED:

This step entails defining the nature (meaning electrochemical pairs) of the batteries and accumulators manufactured (put on market) by the producer in order to create a table where the quantities placed on a market are declared.

The B&A produced page under My account / B&A Registration allows producers to define the nature of B&A put on the market.

You can add a nature of B&A put on the market as follows:

• Step 1 : Click on the “Add a line” button at the bottom of the table to open the “Detail of a product line” window:
• Step 2 : Choose your status as a producer in relation to the nature of the B&A.
• Step 3 : Choose the type of battery that matches the nature of the B&A: industrial, portable, or automotive. Note : The drop-down menu will only show B&A types previously selected during step 2 (Registration of the type of B&A and the related collection and treatment organisation).
• Step 4 : Choose the organisation used to manage the end of life of these B&A. Note: The drop-down menu of possible organisations will not show collective schemes where your membership to said collective scheme has not been validated by the collective scheme.
• Step 5 : Select the nature of batteries and accumulators produced among the following choices:

Note: Only the nature of batteries and accumulators relative to the type of B&A defined before are available in the drop-down list.

• Step 6: Click on “Save” to update the list of B&A put on the market.
